Zero Point: Backtime

By Jordan Becket

ZERO POINT ENERGY AND BLACK CRYSTALS

New Novel Weaves Together Science, Romance and South American History

“The crystal works much the same way a laser does: it takes scattered rays of energy and makes the energy field so coherent and unidirectional that a tremendous force is generated.”

Dr. Marcel Vogel, The Healing Magic of Crystals

Forget the Holy Grail, the elder wand from Harry Potter, and King Arthur’s Excalibur. There is a new force in town and its name is Zero Point energy!

In Jordan Becket’s highly anticipated second volume of the Zero Point Trilogy, Zero Point: Backtime, the powers of zero point energy, crystals and time travel are unearthed.  The story’s factual background in geology, archaeology and subatomic physics allows Becket to weave a believable tale in which her 18-year-old heroine and the man she loves travel back in time to save her father from the evil Aymara.

In Backtime, humans bond with the power of crystals.  But young heroine Roxanne has bonded with Black crystal, which combines the energy of all seven primary colors of crystal.  Still struggling to control her newfound power, Roxanne is stranded alone in nineteenth-century Peru and must race through time to get back to Alex, save her father’s life and gain control of the ominous Black Matrix machine.

Blending fantasy, scientific fact and South American history, Zero Point: Backtime examines:

·    The existence of zero-point energy and how to harness it

·    The power of crystals and dark energy

·    The pre-Mayan historical civilizations of South America

·    The implications of multiculturalism

·    What constitutes ‘family’ and ‘home’

·    Exciting new historical and scientific discoveries

“In Zero Point: Backtime I have combined my love of South American history and science with a touch of romance,” says Becket. “As one reader said to me, it’s like Twilight for smart people!”

About Zero Point: Backtime

Roxanne Wyatt is many things. She's very tall, very smart, unwittingly cool, and a science geek. She's also a holographic tattoo-bearing member of the Order, the ancient group that keeps the secret of zero point crystals. She's beginning to adjust to her own Black crystal bond and to the special powers her bond has given her—powers any government on earth would kill to possess. That's a lot for an eighteen year old to be.

In this second book of the Zero Point series, Roxanne Wyatt is planning to go back in time to rescue her father. New information has surfaced to indicate that his death was not accident, but was cold-blooded murder. But before she and her love, Alex de Cala, can go back in time to prevent her father’s murder, Roxanne is caught between powerful forces vying for the Black Matrix machine, an ominous technology capable of destroying worlds.

Once again, Aymara—the immortal who killed her father when Roxanne was three years old—is threatening all Roxanne holds dear. Alex takes steps to protect her by taking her to his grandfather Jacinto’s villa in Lake Como, Italy.

But all the precautions and crystal-based technologies are not enough. Suddenly Roxanne is flung back through time, to awaken alone on a wind-swept Peruvian shore in the year 1817. Alex is nowhere to be found. Instead, another immortal, a mysterious Englishman named Marco Benalcázar, rescues her—or does he? Is he protecting her, or is he really holding her captive? He claims to be part of the Order, but she begins to suspect that he may be working with their rivals—and hers—Veritas Mundus.

Will the forces of Veritas finally defeat the Order, or is there another player in the mix? What will she find when she untangles the web of deceit surrounding the Black Matrix machine?
